Founded in 2021 by veteran engineers from AWS, Microsoft Azure, Snowflake, LinkedIn, and Uber, RisingWave's open-source distributed streaming database uses standard SQL to build real-time pipelines and applications. Its cloud-native, decoupled compute-storage architecture enables elastic scaling at significantly lower total cost than traditional streaming systems. Native Apache Iceberg integration enables unified real-time and lakehouse processing. Serving enterprises in financial services, e-commerce, manufacturing, and logistics globally, RisingWave democratizes real-time analytics. Part of the IMDA Spark Programme.
