Overview of FS.com

Specialization
Telecom

FS provides communications and high-speed networking products and solutions for data centres, telecom networks, enterprises, and service providers. Its portfolio includes optical transceivers, fibre cabling, switches, network interface hardware, structured-cabling components, and supporting software and technical services. The company combines product development, testing, manufacturing partnerships, logistics, and solution design to support network deployment and upgrades. Customers use FS for both individual components and broader network architectures. Procurement teams should verify compatibility, support terms, warranties, compliance requirements, and lifecycle commitments for each selected device or optical platform.

Buyer Decision Checklist

Cabling is invisible for 15-20 years when done right and a costly rip-and-replace when done wrong, so in Singapore the decision turns on cable choice, certified test evidence at handover, and how the contractor coordinates building access. Use this checklist before you sign.

How to evaluate a structured cabling contractor in Singapore

  • Spec the cable for the next 10-15 years, not just today: confirm whether the design uses Cat6A for 10 Gbps at 100m versus Cat6, and OM4/OM5 fibre for backbones and data-centre runs.
  • Require a documented site survey, labelled patching plan, and as-built documentation as contracted deliverables, and design data-centre work to TIA-942 / ISO/IEC 11801 rather than to spec alone.
  • Make certified test reports the trigger for final payment: insist on Fluke DSX-series copper certification per link and OTDR loss reports per fibre strand at handover, since these are your evidence for any warranty claim years later.
  • Separate the manufacturer warranty from the contractor warranty: verify certified-partner status with Panduit / CommScope / R&M / Belden and require the 20-25 year application-assurance warranty be issued in your name.
  • Verify Singapore worksite credentials directly rather than from a logo: bizSAFE Level 3+ for WSH compliance, and BCA registration (Class W04) where larger or government projects require it.
  • Pin down after-hours work, building-management coordination, and end-of-lease reinstatement in writing, and confirm pathways and capacity for future Wi-Fi, CCTV, and data-centre growth.

Verify for FS.com

  • Confirm key details directly with the vendor — this listing isn't vendor-managed yet.
  • Ask for two recent Singapore client references you can speak with.
  • Ask for a written scope of services before comparing quotes.
  • Request evidence of relevant certifications and their current validity.

Questions to ask

  • Will you provide Fluke copper certification and OTDR fibre reports per link at handover, plus labelled as-built documentation?
  • Are you a certified installer for the proposed cabling brand, and will the manufacturer warranty be registered in our name?
  • How will you schedule after-hours work and coordinate with building management, and what is included for end-of-lease reinstatement?
  • Can you share two Singapore clients of similar size and building type that I can speak to?
